By accessing or using Partsmith (the “Service”), operated by Baked Bean LLC, an Illinois single-member LLC doing business as BakedBean3D (referred to below as “Partsmith,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and any other persons who access or use the Service.
Partsmith is a web application that generates parametric 3D model files (STL and STEP formats) from user-chosen parameters. The Service provides geometry output as a convenience tool only. All generated output files are provided “as is” with no warranty of fitness, dimensional accuracy, printability, or engineering suitability. You are responsible for verifying that any generated geometry is correct and safe for your application before fabricating or using any part.
You may browse the catalog, preview models, and take your first three STL downloads without an account. A free account raises the limit to the daily quota shown on the pricing page. STEP export and commercial use will require a paid plan; paid plans are not on sale yet (see Section 9) - today STEP export is a waitlist.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You own the output files (STL and STEP) that Partsmith generates for you. Partsmith does not claim ownership over the geometry you configure and download. You may use output files for any lawful purpose subject to the license tier associated with your account (see Section 5).
Partsmith retains ownership of the Service itself, the underlying parametric model definitions, the generation engine, and all software. Nothing in these Terms transfers intellectual property rights in the Service to you.
The right to use generated output for commercial purposes depends on your plan. The paid tiers below describe plans that are not yet on sale - until they launch, every download is made under the Free tier:
A Perpetual Commercial License for a specific model family (surviving cancellation) may be offered as a one-off purchase when paid plans open; none is available for purchase today.
THE SERVICE AND ALL GENERATED OUTPUT FILES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Partsmith expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:
You are solely responsible for verifying that any generated part is correct and safe before fabricating or deploying it. Partsmith geometry is a starting point, not an engineering certification.
Guest use and free accounts are subject to generation and download quotas (see the pricing page for current limits). Limits for any future paid plans will be stated when those plans open. If usage materially exceeds the stated limits or degrades service for other users, we may throttle the generation queue - we will never silently bill you for overage.
Automated or programmatic access to the Service outside of designated API plans is prohibited. API access is available on Studio and higher plans.

Paid plans are not yet available for purchase; this section takes effect when they launch. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Credits are non-refundable once purchased. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
On cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period, then reverts to the Free tier. Commercial rights associated with a paid plan end when the plan ends, unless covered by a perpetual license.
We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties, or for any other reason. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Partsmith (Baked Bean LLC), its members, owners, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or personal injury - arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service or any generated output. Partsmith’s total aggregate liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Partsmith in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) $50 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Partsmith from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your fabrication, sale, or deployment of parts made from generated output.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Partsmith regarding the Service.
